Alaska presents the visitor with the same "island time" attitude as Hawaii, but here is where you might go to step back in time to witness hearty folks with frontier spirit working the earth and sea for a living. For unspoiled wilderness hiking, Alaska is superior. Our summer months of July and August are this state's most desirable time for visiting.
