Everything is bigger in Texas. The state itself is large. So is the giant armadillo found atop a Houston eatery. Cadillac Ranch, west of Amarillo will baffle those not familiar with big Texas-style art. There's a seventy-foot tall statue of Sam Houston in Huntsville and a silver, eight-foot jackrabbit in Odessa. If you're in Dallas during the state fair, you won't miss Big Tex, the world's largest cowboy.
Music is a big part of Austin's culture. Dallas is famous for shopping and the television show by the same name. Houston is famed for its petroleum industry. The shoreline is a popular holiday destination. Galveston and South Padre Island offer visitors two different and unique views of the Gulf of Mexico.
